Which card is better? GeForce 9800GT 1Gb or 9800GTX+ 512mb to use After Effects, 3DStudio ando to do renders?

Which card is better? Im not sure if I would want a faster clock speed or more memory. I want to use it for Adobe After Effects, 3D Studio and to do render's. Do I need the 1gb GT or the 512mb GTX+?

(I know that the best video cards are Quadro but I don麓t have the money).Which card is better? GeForce 9800GT 1Gb or 9800GTX+ 512mb to use After Effects, 3DStudio ando to do renders?
It depends on your screen. For 24'; or above, get the 9800GT, you will need the extra VRAM, but if it is below 24';, get the GTX+, since 512mb is plenty for most things. You should look into the GTS 250 1GB on newegg.com. You can get them there for about $150 with a free game.Which card is better? Hi, The 9800GTX + 512 is a better card. If you are using this for high performance processes, you would be advised to see if you can get additional graphics memory for this card (might be too expensive). Because of what you are doing with this, you should buy at least one (two better) external hard drives, check the bus speeds 7200rpm is good, but the faster the better. In your software allocate the scratch drive on an external drive (large and regularly zeroed / de-fragged). If you can use a second drive as you end location. And but as much ram as you can use.

I process work on my G5 8core, 16gig of ram and it takes a week to do some of my H.D. work in after effects. Good luck.
Short answer 9800GTX+

The extra 512 mb of ram will do nothing for you if you have a screen less than 24'; or two monitors less than 22'; each.

The 9800GTx + is an all around better design that the 9800gt It s the revised version and has a better clock rate and more shaders. These will help with better rendering and overall performance. The ram is just a buffer for bigger screens.

Hope it helps
9800gtx+ unless you have a rather large monitor. If you do.... then I still go with the 9800gtx+.
I don't know if you know this but the 9800gtx+ is being replaced by the Nvidia GTS 250 which is same price but has some minor improvements so you should go for the GTS 250.
I go for 1 Gb
