I recently purchased a charger for my iPhone. On plugging it in it damaged all the circuitry and now no longer powers on.
It was not an official apple charger, and as the iphone was imported, apple wont touch it. I bought it from PC World in the UK.
Im sure there is some legislation such as the Sales of Goods Act that entitles me to a repair, however I need to know what that is before i start ranting.Where do you stand if a charger renders the product it was meant to charge faulty?
If PC World marketed the charger as compatible with the iPhone, they should be responsible for any damage done by their product to something that they said it would work with. Make sure you read any fine print that may contain a disclaimer about compatibility.Where do you stand if a charger renders the product it was meant to charge faulty?
You can only use that if you use official Apple products. But if you buy an official charger and take both the official charger and the iPhone with you to PC World, they wont be any the wiser.
y dont you just take it back to pc world tell them what happend they will replace it or give you store credit
