Scientists have concluded that torture makes the brain give out false information, some completely made up and with no way to tell the real from the false, they call it confabulation. They also show that traditional interrogation methods provided twice as much if not more ';true'; information, what will the next Republican in power(if that ever happens) do? This news is not very good for Dick Cheney but is Con-fabulous for his opponents!

Since when do Cons side with science? They still think that evolution is wrong and that Global warming is a left wing hoax purportrated by the entire world against them. They will side with the old war dodger Cheney any day. It's not like it's the first line of questioning. However, when the traditional interrogation methods arrive at nothing, I'd rather chase down a lot of false leads and stop one attack, then not stop any. ';Twice as much';, so torture is 50% as effective as traditional interrogation? That's still not bad percentages to use on the ones that traditional methods aren't working on.

What would you do if your friend or family member was captured by the Taliban and was going to get her head sawed off with a butter knife, wouldn't you torture one of the SOB's to save them? And find where they are? Or would you tickle them till they told how to save them? If torture only provides accurate information 10% of the time, that just means they'll have to torture 10x as many suspects to discover which of them is guilty.

Scientist have concluded many things before. I bet you can find scientist who disagree with your scientist. Also why doesn't this ';transparent'; government release the documents to prove the ';torture'; didn't get valuable information. The torture term is a joke. Waterboarding isn't torture. If you say it is, we torture our US military personnel when they go through training.





And global warming is a joke. The Earth goes through natural cycles of heating and cooling
