Any attempt to use IM 9.0 causes my internet connection to bomb and therefore renders it useless - help?

IM 9 on Vista. Previous version was fine. And yes I haved tried uninstall and reinstall and all that. Symptoms are that it logs in apparently OK and may allow some activity but within a minute or two the net connection bombs and has to be re-established. Old version on XP PC continues to work fine over same link.Any attempt to use IM 9.0 causes my internet connection to bomb and therefore renders it useless - help?
Try this site it has all the older versions of yahoo messengers. This is what I had to do. Yahoo IM 9 did not work for me. I have vista and 9 does not work well with vista. IM 9 still has a lot of problems with vista. Hope this helps!!!

i have vista home premium,,,and i have 9.0 the latest yahoo have so far ,,i never disconect,,i recommend you,to call your internet service(isp)
