I need to edit black and white ink drawings digitally. I do black and white ink cartoons by hand, but when I scan them you can see the texture of the white page and it makes it look blue/purple, but I want a high contrast (like, monochrome) look to it, without losing definition or detail, and without making it look pixelly. What can I do? Right now all I can think of is upping the brightness and contrast, but that sucks. How to render black and white ink drawings?
Professionals usually re-ink the drawings in the computer if their scanner sucks. You may be able to set the resolution higher and get better results (try like, 300 and see what happens) Also, sometimes there are settings in the scanning program that let you switch it to monochrome.
