I remember a friend telling me that you could render at real time with a high-end g4 mac. Now that macs are moved on to core-duo chips, I wanted to know if they can do the same/better/worst for 3d rendering? How is the core duo chip at 3d rendering?
most 3d rendering is done by the video card not the processor, but yes the duel cores are better at all tasks even single threaded ones because the other tasks that the OS dose in the background can be switched to the second coreHow is the core duo chip at 3d rendering?
I dislike when people give answers like this before doing their own research.... it just confuses everybody. The only ';rendering'; your video card does, is the real-time rendering of what you are seeing on your viewport in terms of polygons, materials, lights, etc... CPU is your RENDERING power Report Abuse
