How can you render a cell phone useless?

It has to be permanent, and discreet (I don't want it to look like a hammer was taken to it.)How can you render a cell phone useless?
Drop it in a glass of water after you have removed the battery. Take the antenna(if there is one) and scratch it up nicely. Then go to where the battery was and try to see if anything can get pulled loose.

Take out the battery and grab a small pointy thing (safety pin) and mess around with the cables and stuff, also drop some water down there. *mock surprise* OOPSIES why is my phone all screwed up? O.O
The best way is to reprogram it...water can be seen because they have water marks on the phone that show if there has been water damage...call a cell phone carrier and tell them you want to put a new phone on your service...they will give you the codes to reprogram your phone and walk you through it...you just pretend like you are doing but really just write down the codes and ';accidently'; hang up when you get the codes...it should be something like #12345*# the numbers in the middle will be different but once they give you the code, it enters you into the cell programming area, then you just take out the phone number and put in a bogus one...the phone will never ring again until you change it back!!! Drop it in the toilet. leave it on. watch the disco lights and call it a day.

remove battery and with some tweezers pull out ofne of the litle bits where the battery element bits connect.........
